"While "OOO" is widely understood in many companies, it’s quite informal and can sound too casual or like internal jargon. Here are much more professional and natural ways to say it:
Recommended Professional Expressions
"I am out of the office today." (Simple & Clear)
"I will be out of the office today" (Slightly more formal).
"I will be out of the office today and will reply to you tomorrow" (Best for colleagues and clients)
"I am afraid I will be out of the office today/tomorrow" (Best when speaking to clients or suppliers)
"I will be out of the office today with limited access to email" (When you won't be able to check you messages)
Examples
Email / Teams message:
“Hi everyone, I will be out of the office today and will respond to your emails tomorrow morning.”More complete version:
“Just to let you know, I’m out of the office today. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can tomorrow.”Auto-reply suggestion:
“Thank you for your email. I am currently out of the office and will return on [date]. I will reply to your message as soon as possible.”
